| The South London Athletics
Network (SLAN) held its second Hurdles Development Day
at Sutton Arena on the 7th November. Under the excellent
tutorship of Judy Vernon, Marina Armstrong, and Lorna
Boothe, the coach development day had 9 coaches attend
along with 18 athletes. The initiative helps develop
coaches over the short and long hurdles events.
The coaches also had the added
benefit of meeting Andy Turner European and Commonwealth
110meters Champion. He took the coaches and athletes
through some of his key training drills and showed off
his medals from his successful Summer campaign of
racing.
The
SLAN Hurdles
Development Days will be taking place throughout the
Winter at Sutton Arena on the first Sunday of every
month from 9-45am to 12-30pm. If any coaches or athletes
are interested in attending the next event on
Sunday December 5th please
